In Full Bloom: Empowering the Next Generation of Young Women
On June 29, 2024, HeyyGirl Foundation partnered with the Alpha Leo Club of South Cook for In Full Bloom: A Young Women’s Empowerment & Wellness Summit at Prairie State College Conference Center.
Designed by and for young women, the event brought together education, wellness, resources, and community support with one goal in mind: helping young women feel equipped and inspired as they become the next generation of leaders.
Throughout the day, attendees had access to a vendor fair, health services, college information, guest speakers, raffles, giveaways, interactive art, and breakout sessions. Financial education was also incorporated into the summit, aligning with HeyyGirl Foundation’s commitment to helping young women develop the knowledge and skills needed to build stronger futures.
The event welcomed Cook County Commissioner Monica Gordon as a special guest and was supported by a broad group of community sponsors and partners.
Following the event, HeyyGirl Foundation celebrated the success of In Full Bloom and thanked the organizations and leaders whose support helped make the day possible.
Special appreciation was extended to Commissioner Monica Gordon and State Representative Anthony DeLuca for their support and sponsorship.
In Full Bloom demonstrated what becomes possible when organizations, community leaders, educators, and supporters come together around young women—not simply to encourage them, but to connect them with meaningful information, resources, experiences, and opportunities.
For HeyyGirl Foundation, that work remains at the heart of the mission: equipping young women with tools they can carry with them long after an event ends.
As our girls continue to grow, learn, lead, and discover what is possible for their futures, we are proud to help create spaces where they can do exactly that—
in full bloom.
